Building for money vs building for love
There's two types of building experiences I've had:
Building just to make money. You're feeling pressured. If you mess up, you'll lose money & let people down. You need to fix this thing, scale this thing, make it work so the money comes flowing in. You might like your customers, but it's not really love.
Building from a place of love. You're building for your customers and you love your customers. You're channeling what feels like a deeper intelligence and following your curiosity. Your work feels like art, an expression of who you really are. It feels like generosity.
#2 feels way better than #1.
